Well, the boys are still changing and growing...
Ben has started really jabbering and his favorite word is "hot!" That can mean "hot" or "eat" (since i usually say "hot" when setting food in front of him) or "drink". He also signs a few words: "eat" "more" "drink" "finished" "nurse" and he waves bye-bye. he loves to wrestle, like his big bro and daddy, and he loves to snuggle, too. He is still attached to his passy and blue blankie. he is quite the eater. He will eat just about anything and lots of it. he often out-eats Sam, and that is saying a lot. For dinner he had rice, beans, taco meat, cheese, and milk - soy milk. Ben loves to play outside and his favorite thing is to get sprayed by the water hose and to plop in the dirt and get absolutely covered in mud and water. indoors, he is most commonly seen toting a book around. he loves to "read". When we go out, sometimes he tries to be bashful, but is really quite loud and social. He loves to shriek in places that reverberate, especially Wal-Mart; that makes for an interesting trip. He is just growing up so fast, and it has been so much fun getting to see his unique personality shine through.
Sam is quite the conversationalist these days. He is always asking questions and trying to figure things out. The other day we were working on memorizing "Every good and perfect gift is from above" and he thoughtfully asked, "does God just drop that gift down from way up high?" He wants to know where God is? Does God have 2 names? He is always making me laugh. he is also very independent. He often has an alternative way of doing something i have asked him to do, and is quick to share it with me. I quote "love is patient, love is kind" out loud to myself several times throughout the day :) his greatest achievement was dismantling the towel wrack from the wall the other day in an attempt to trapeze from it. now he is learning about joint compound, and how to repair a hole in the wall. Sam also has the most tender heart of any little boy i know. The other day i was angry with him and he went to the window and looked out and said, "Mama, you have some birds in the back yard...3 birds...mama, i just want to help you be happy." He will melt your heart. He also takes such good care of Ben and looks out for him, like a little mother hen. He also speaks for Ben...i will say, "Ben are you finished eating?" and Sam will pipe up, "Ben says, 'no'" He is just a great little kid and i am so blessed to witness each day, every day with him.
